archive

This is the archive of old posts from two previous blogs. It does not include the archive of comments.

  1. The more recent of the two was hosted at LiveJournal and existed primarily as a vehicle to push articles onto PlanetKDE, a site which syndicates KDE developer blogs. This contains roughly 100 entries between 2007 and 2009.
  2. Previous to LJ, I wrote, hosted and administrated blogs for myself and several others from an old computer I had kicking around. It was never reliable and finally failed in 2007. However, between 2003 and 2007, I posted something like 513 entries.

New features; thoughts

Today was a day of touch-ups and minor feature implementation, as well as some minor load testing, optimisations and clean-ups. What follows is a short change-log, of which the accuracy isn't entirely guarenteed.

Robert Miles; techno-staves

Feb

Right now I'm listening to one of my favourite Robert Miles tunes, Full Moon, at a fairly loud level with my subwoofer turned on... My only hope is for a noise complaint such that I get evicted and can break my lease without being liable for the remaining month's rent... *grins*

That aside for now...

Coffee with respect; biospheres

Feb

Just got back from having coffee with two former senior high teachers of whom I have great respect for. They have both retired (officially) from teaching since I've graduated, and as such, the student-teacher relationship has been altered somewhat. I now no longer look at them as teachers of specific course material, but rather as wisened, knowledgeable and respected peers. Anyway, won't name names due to googles crawling ability and repecting their privacy -- but it's very nice to see them now and again. (Note: Evan was also present)

It

Okay, I'll make it official: This software (generating this html you're reading...) is stable enough that I'm officially labelling it version 0.1. Expect new versions in the near future, as the framework is now mostly complete, features will be added within the framework... Note that most of the power of this site you do not see -- it's at 4,600 lines of code (that's counting all .py, .css and two basic .html files).

First Entry, (about this blog)

Feb

Wow! Well, nearly 10 days ago, while listening to a late night radio show on CJOB, I began to think about the feasibility (spelling?) of closed biospheres in modern days survivalism.
