Hola folks - long time, no posts. It's not like I haven't been talking, it's just that I've been spouting my mouth off on non-KDE topics elsewhere on the internet. Anyway, looking forward to Camp KDE (thanks to the KDE e.V. for supporting my student-ass with some funding). We have a contest winner for the Camp KDE Be Free contest, who we'll announce as part of the Camp KDE event. Looking forward to meeting him there.
Also, version 4.4 of the Software Compilation is expected to be released in the first or second week of February. Release parties are being planned as we speak (see the community wiki). I will be delivering a 4.4 presentation to the London Ontario Linux Users Group on February 3rd, and this will double as the local 4.4 release party. Details are on the page linked above. A few of us are contemplating arranging a small event in Toronto as well, for Feb 6th or 7th. Details TBD.
If you are in the London area and would like to meet some local linux/unix/* folks and talk KDE, drink some beer (perhaps), and talk about the effect of KDE locally, please join the local LUG and I for the talk.
Cheers
