Vulcans

I have now decided something. We as humanity must create a race of Vulcans among ourselves.

In ancient times, man was given the gift of fire. How many of us can even make a fire any longer, without the aid of an incindiary device.

The name Vulcan is apt for two reasons - one for our ability to tame things, such as fire. Another is the great analogue to the Vulcans of Star Trek. (Ever wonder why they are called Vulcans, perhaps?)

If we could muzzle our urge to mate for just a short period, imagine what we could accomplish. Perhaps Gene had it right, with the Vulcans.
