Made a few really minor changes to my blog, and to the software as a whole. Added external linking to the front page. This allows Aaron's blog to be directly listed there, even though he isn't on this software. I'm all about freedom to choose and such, and anti-monopolistic - thus, Aaron's site while not directly related to this one is still a blog, and belongs to the totality that is our blogosphere :).
(That was a bit awkwardly worded, indeed. Hurray for Lieutenant Semantics! He will save us from evil Captain Syntax and his vile sidekick, Madame Grammer!)
That aside, I'm having trouble focusing on work that is supposed to be work. I keep saying to myself "Well, just have to finish this project, then it'll all be good." but still I find myself procrastinating beyond all logic. I keep on thinking of other highly trivial things to do -- the joy has left the job. This is a Bad Thing(tm) since this is on its most basic level and excellent place to work. I get along with everyone, and don't have any complaints about policies or anything like that. It is the greener side of the fence on 99% of all accounts.
Related to this: I cannot commit myself enough to finishing the rewrite of the blog, which if I was writing code as fast and diligently as I wrote this originally, should have been done two months ago. I've lost interest. I don't know why for certain. It may have to do with the fact that the existing blog software (the one you are viewing right now) is intact and operating fine - even if it is a bit kludgy and amateur. And the code sucks.
Oh, and I never got around to looking into getting a mine to build my bunker in -- but I'm actually still interested in that...
And I'll never code my OS, even though it'd be super cool and probably revolutionise the whole computing world.
And I'll never form my techno-commune dedicated to putting people on the moon permanently.
Silly me and my affinity for changing the world. Perhaps I should concentrate on building my secret society or runnnig a school for the gifted or infiltrating CSIS or something.
Oh, everyone! VOTE! and I can't stress that enough. If you don't know or care who to vote for, vote for the communist party.
Be safe.
