Two things. It appears that the US is at war and for once, Canada is playing the legitimate role of a biased neutral; second, my computer is on the fritz!
When I try to use anything graphical on the computer at a resolution of 800x600 or higher, the screen displays all wonky-like. It compresses the normal view into the left 40% of the screen, followed by a black bar in the centre 20% and then the first 40% duplicated again! Argh! Very annoying. Also, I've tried three monitors and three video cards (of quite varying types) so the only thing left that could be causing the problem is my motherboard/ram/cpu setup. So, likely for three weeks, I'll be running at 640x480 on my 19 inch screen. Most annoying, since pixel size is so incredibly huge at that resolution on a screen this size. Either that, or I can run in good old text mode. I have a web-browser I can use in text mode, so it's not a complete handicap.
Related to the aforementioned, I will not be able to really work on the code for the blog until I get this resolved (as most of my programming tools are graphic based). It'll be possibly 18 days or so until I can afford the computer repairs, according to my makeshift budget.
Anyway, I'm expecting a large section of rewriting on the blog for the next major revision.
Until then, be safe; I'll post from work.
